Global warming? Consensus? Settled science?

The assumption of global warming alarmists is that human activity will massively increase CO2 causing catastrophic temperatures because CO2 stays in the atmosphere up to 200 years, which incidentally never has been demonstrated in the real world.

“This is nonsense,” says Dr. Tom Segalstad, head of the Geological Museum at the University of Oslo, and formerly an expert reviewer with the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. (He’s also served as chairman for mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry at the University of Oslo and holds other prestigious affiliations.

Not exactly the kook or crook that alarmists contend are the only ones who cast doubt on predictions of global warming catastrophe, is he?

“The IPCC needs a lesson in geology to avoid making fundameantal mistakes,” Segalstad says, adding that “most leading geologists throughout the world know that the IPCC’s view of Earth processes are implausible if not impossible.”

Until recently scientists worldwide were near unanimous that CO2 couldn’t stay in the atmosphere longer than 5 to 10 years before it’s absorbed by ocean water. But the alarmists have escalated that assumption.

The alarmists have elevated human activity  ”to the status of dogma, an unquestionable axiom that governs all subsequent hypotheses,” according to Segalstad, who is quoted in “The Deniers, The world-renowned scientists who stood up against global warming hysteria, political persecution and fraud,” by Lawrence Soloman.

Segalstad points out that contrary to alarmists’ dogma, eminent scientists argue that “CO2 levels fluctuate naturally and that levels as high as today’s were not uncommon in the 19th century.”

Of course, that wouldn’t advance the hyper alarmism necessary to motivate governments, businesses and the public into adopting radical “solutions” for faux manmade catastrophes that have never been proven and exist only in contrived computer models based on flawed assumptions.
